Fantasy 12 Minutes
Kendu, a kind-hearted but timid boy, lives on the edge of an enchanted jungle. One day, he finds a golden feather that grants him incredible abilities. However, when he decides to use the feather only to help others rather than himself, he discovers that his true strength was inside him all along. Along the way, Kendu befriends talking animals and outsmarts a greedy sorcerer who wants the feather for himself.
Chapter 1Kendu wandered deeper into the jungle, his bare feet brushing against the soft mossy ground. The air shimmered with the hum of hidden magic. His sharp eyes caught something unusual beneath a towering tree draped in glowing vines. A single golden feather, gleaming like sunlight, rested amongst the roots. He knelt down, hesitant yet drawn to its brilliance. As soon as he touched it, a warm tingle shot up his arm. Fireflies twirled around him, their tiny lights flickering like stars. Could this feather be magical? Wonder filled his heart, but he had no idea this feather would change his life forever.
Chapter 2Perched on a low-hanging branch, Sora the Wise Parrot observed Kendu with knowing eyes. 'A rare find indeed,' he squawked, tilting his head. Kendu looked up in surprise. He had seen many parrots before, but none that spoke! Sora fluttered down beside him and studied the feather closely. 'This feather has great power,' he explained, his voice rich with wisdom. 'But its true strength isn't in what it can do—it's in how you choose to use it.' Kendu listened carefully, intrigued yet uncertain. What did that mean? He tucked the feather into his belt, unaware that his journey had truly begun.
Chapter 3Curious about the feather’s power, Kendu held it high. A sudden golden glow enveloped him, lifting him slightly off the ground. A gentle breeze swirled around him, rustling the leaves in a soft melody. Jungle creatures gasped—a monkey clapped its hands excitedly, while a deer blinked in awe. Kendu felt light, strong, and filled with energy. He laughed, marveling at the feather's magic. ‘A gift like this is rare,’ Sora warned, landing beside him. ‘Use it wisely.’ Kendu’s heart pounded. What else could it do? He had never felt so powerful before, but what would he do with this incredible gift?
Chapter 4As Kendu roamed through the jungle, he heard soft whimpers from behind a large mushroom. He peeked under it and saw a baby tiger cub cradling its injured paw. Without hesitation, Kendu knelt beside it. ‘Don’t be afraid,’ he whispered, gently pressing the golden feather to the wound. A soft glow spread over the cub’s paw, and, as if by magic, the injury disappeared. The cub blinked up at Kendu, eyes sparkling with gratitude. It nuzzled his hand before scampering off into the trees. Kendu smiled—he had just helped another with his newfound power. Perhaps this was what the feather was truly meant for.
Chapter 5Hidden in the shadows of an ancient ruin, Zarin the Sorcerer watched Kendu with narrowed eyes. His fingers tightened around his staff as he whispered to the black crow on his shoulder. 'That feather holds great magic—but the boy does not deserve it,' he hissed. He had spent years searching for such power, and now it was in the hands of a mere child? The eerie moonlight illuminated Zarin’s scowl as he plotted to take the feather for himself. A gust of wind rustled the vines, carrying his sinister chuckle through the air. The chase was about to begin.
Chapter 6Kendu sprinted through the thick jungle, his breath ragged. Behind him, Zarin’s voice echoed like a storm. The sorcerer’s hands pulsed with dark energy, sending bursts of magic crackling toward him. Kendu dodged, leaping over roots and sliding under vines, but Zarin was gaining. Sora swooped in, squawking, ‘Quick, this way!’ The parrot led Kendu toward a narrow path just as a whirlwind of dark mist nearly engulfed him. Kendu clutched the feather close, his mind racing. He had to escape. The jungle was on his side, but Zarin was relentless. He had to find a way to outsmart him.
Chapter 7Panting, Kendu stumbled upon a massive stone door hidden amidst thick ferns. Strange glowing symbols decorated its surface, pulsating faintly. He traced the markings with his fingers, feeling a familiar warmth—like the feather’s magic. Sora landed beside him. ‘The Lost Temple…’ he murmured in awe. Zarin’s angry shouts echoed through the jungle, getting closer. Desperate, Kendu gripped the feather. As if sensing his urgency, the symbols glowed even brighter. The door trembled, emitting a deep rumble. It was opening! Kendu took a deep breath and stepped inside, just as Zarin’s shadow loomed behind him.
Chapter 8The temple's interior was breathtaking—a vast chamber bathed in golden light from a floating crystal above. The air thrummed with an ancient energy. Kendu felt the feather pulse in his hand as if it, too, recognized the place. Suddenly, he understood: the feather had guided him here not for power, but for truth. Taking a deep breath, he lifted the feather high. A warm, golden glow surrounded him, and the feather dissolved into sparkling dust, merging with his heart. He didn’t need the feather anymore. The magic had always been inside him—his kindness, his courage. He was enough.
Chapter 9Outside the temple, Zarin raised his staff, summoning a storm of dark energy. ‘Give me the power, boy!’ he bellowed. But Kendu stood firm, his hands glowing with the same golden warmth from within. Instead of fear, he felt calm, strong. The storm weakened, the winds turning into harmless breezes. Surprised, Zarin stumbled backward. Vines from the jungle twisted around him, wrapping him gently but firmly. ‘The magic was never in the feather,’ Kendu said softly. ‘It’s in the choices we make.’ The jungle itself seemed to agree, reclaiming the sorcerer in its gentle, unbreakable grasp.
Chapter 10With the jungle at peace once more, Kendu climbed a towering tree, gazing out over the glowing night. Fireflies danced below, their golden lights reflecting in his warm amber eyes. Beside him, Sora ruffled his feathers, a pleased glint in his own. ‘You’ve done well, Kendu,’ the parrot murmured. Kendu smiled, feeling a warmth inside—not from magic, but from the knowledge that he had helped others. The golden feather was gone, but he didn’t need it. His bravery and kindness were the real magic all along. As the jungle hummed a gentle lullaby, Kendu knew that this was only the beginning of his adventures.
